Each year, Splunk hosts an impressive Sales Kick Off (SKO). FY20 was no different with a theme of “legendary”. From legendary sales, to legendary products, with legendary people, the Brand + Creative team was tasked with creating a SKO of legendary proportions. I had the opportunity to lead design in collaboration with our Principle Multimedia Producer. Together, with the support of a multi-talented in-house creative team, we created a rich visual expression that showcased Splunk’s irreverent tone and “Splunkiness.”
A ‘Legendary’ Sales Kick Off
The objective of Splunk’s Sales Kick Off is to celebrate a successful FY19 and to motivate sales for an even more successful FY20. More than 3,500 Splunkers and Partners traveled from all over the world to The Venetian Sands in Las Vegas in March 2019. During this three-day event, employees and Partners attended mainstage presentations and breakout sessions. In addition, they participate in branded activations and walk away feeling connected to Splunk and excited to kick off an eventful year.
Vertical clings above plastered the Venetian Sands Expo in Las Vegas. Keeping with the bold and edgy feel, badges for both Splunkers and Partners highlight the newspaper effect and playful “future” messaging as seen below.
“Incredible effort across the environmental and presentation delivery. The environmental expression had dramatic impact as you traveled from floor to floor. And each slide was a work of art. There is no way we could have delivered without you leaning in the way you did.”
Day One Presentation
Design for Susan St. Ledger, Splunk’s President of Worldwide Field Operations, SKO presentation. Susan wanted to kick-off the three-day event with an emphasis on feeling and teamwork. St. Ledger is a huge fan of the Golden State Warriors and head coach Steve Kerr’s success. After several iterations, we found a meaningful way to weave the Kerr’s coaching values into the presentation.
Our Brand + Creative team created and executed every asset from the creative concept to the environmental signage, motion graphics, videos and main stage presentations. The three-day event was incredibly well-received by stakeholders and attendees.
